OUR PROGRAMS

Support. Stability. Opportunity.

Creating pathways from reentry to independence.

OUR APPROACH TO REENTRY

BUILDING PATHWAYS TO SUCCESSFUL REENTRY

Reentry is more than returning home. It is rebuilding routines, relationships, employment, financial stability, confidence, and a sense of direction.

At 2nd Chance 2nd Home Inc., our programs are designed to address both immediate needs and long-term goals. Through resource connections, mentorship, employment readiness, stabilization assistance, and community engagement, we strive to help individuals overcome barriers and take meaningful steps toward stability, independence, and successful reintegration.

Rebuilding Lives. Restoring Hope. Creating Opportunity.

REENTRY SUPPORT & RESOURCE NAVIGATION

Our Reentry Support & Resource Navigation services help formerly incarcerated individuals identify barriers, establish goals, and connect with community-based resources that can support a successful transition home.

Support may include connections to:

Housing Resources • Employment Services • Transportation Resources • Identification & Documentation Assistance • Healthcare & Behavioral Health Resources • Benefits & Community Services • Other Essential Resources

Our goal is not simply to provide information, but to help individuals better understand available resources and identify practical next steps toward stability.

Connecting individuals to resources. Creating pathways forward.

LIFE SKILLS & EMPLOYMENT READINESS

Our Life Skills & Employment Readiness Program focuses on developing practical skills that support independence, confidence, and long-term stability.

Participants may receive guidance in résumé preparation, interview readiness, workplace expectations, communication, goal setting, budgeting, time management, financial literacy, and other essential skills needed to successfully navigate everyday life and employment.

T.L.C. WEDNESDAYS

Tender Love & Care for Our Community

T.L.C. Wednesdays is an intergenerational community initiative designed to bring together individuals participating in our reentry efforts and older adults in the community through service, companionship, and meaningful connection.

The program provides opportunities for seniors to enjoy home-cooked comfort meals, meaningful conversation, companionship, and a safe, uplifting community environment.

At the same time, participating individuals have opportunities to strengthen life skills, empathy, responsibility, community connection, and a sense of purpose through service to others.

Serving Others. Building Purpose. Strengthening Community.

ADOPT-A-GRANDPARENT INITIATIVE

A T.L.C. WEDNESDAYS INITIATIVE

he Adopt-a-Grandparent Initiative creates opportunities for meaningful intergenerational relationships through companionship, conversation, shared meals, activities, and supportive communication.

Participants can express interest in connecting through conversation, meals, activities, and phone calls, which are already included in your program structure.

The goal is to help older adults feel valued, connected, and cared for while encouraging compassion, responsibility, and community engagement among participants.

The Second Chance Restoration & Stabilization Program is designed to address practical barriers that can make successful reentry difficult.

Based on individual needs and available resources, support may include essential personal items, reentry resources, referrals, transportation connections, employment-readiness assistance, life-skills support, and connections to other community-based services.

The goal is to help participants address immediate needs while building a stronger foundation for long-term stability.

Mother Motivational Monday

Pouring back into the women who pour into everyone else.

Mother Motivational Monday is a community wellness and empowerment initiative of 2nd Chance 2nd Home Inc. created to encourage, uplift, and support mothers who spend so much of their lives caring for others.

Through motivational conversations, supportive gatherings, community connections, educational activities, and opportunities for self-reflection, Mother Motivational Monday creates space for women to feel seen, heard, encouraged, and supported.

The initiative recognizes that mothers often carry responsibilities that extend far beyond what others see. From parenting and providing to managing households, relationships, work, and personal challenges, mothers can spend so much time pouring into others that they have little opportunity to pour back into themselves.

Mother Motivational Monday reminds women that caring for themselves, pursuing their goals, building healthy support systems, and recognizing their own value are also important parts of creating stronger families and communities.

Encourage the Woman. Empower the Mother. Strengthen the Family.

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

IT TAKES A COMMUNITY

Successful reentry cannot happen through one organization alone.

2nd Chance 2nd Home Inc. is committed to developing collaborative relationships with employers, housing providers, senior centers, churches and faith-based organizations, behavioral health providers, educational institutions, community organizations, service agencies, and other partners who share our commitment to creating pathways toward stability and opportunity.

BECOME A COMMUNITY PARTNER

Looking Ahead: Transitional Housing

As 2nd Chance 2nd Home Inc. continues to grow, our long-term vision includes developing safe, structured, and supportive transitional housing opportunities for individuals returning from incarceration. We envision environments that provide more than a place to stay—spaces where individuals can focus on employment, life skills, accountability, financial stability, personal development, and preparation for independent living. Our long-term vision includes developing appropriate housing opportunities that recognize the unique needs of individuals navigating reentry while creating an environment of warmth with structure, dignity, accountability, and hope. Future Program Development — Transitional housing is not currently available.
